Focuses on providing a comprehensive understanding of ion channels, membrane electrical properties, synapses, and plasticity in the context of the anatomical and functional organization of neural circuits. Endogenous neuromodulatory systems and basic neuropharmacology also addressed, including how psychoactive drugs are used for clinical and non-clinical purposes.
